CORD co-principal and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has sensationally claimed that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi is being used by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party to weaken and bring confusion to the Opposition.
Speaking on Monday in Lugari, Mr Wetangula alleged that Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli was financed by Jubilee to make Mudavadi the Luhya spokesman in a bid to split the western votes.
“If Mudavadi is seriously interested in teaming up with CORD, he should focus on the agenda and forget about associating himself with Atwoli, who is engaged in political business,” Mr Wetang’ula stated.
Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale, who had accompanied Wetangula, further alleged that after Atwoli installed Mudavadi as Luhya spokesman, he travelled to Mombasa County where he had a secret meeting with President Kenyatta.
