“Mudavadi wants to be used by Jubilee. If he wants to survive, he should stop associating himself with Atwoli,” Khalwale affirmed.
However, through his spokesman Kibisu Kabatesi, Mudavadi refuted the claims stating that he was focused on sending the ruling coalition home.
“Mudavadi has taken his endorsement seriously and is interested in unifying the community rather than engaging in shouting matches with any leaders,” said Mr Kabatesi.
A section of Luhya leaders has opposed the idea of Mr Mudavadi being the community spokesman claiming that they were not consulted before his installation on the eve of New Year.
Meanwhile, the ANC leader and CORD principal Raila Odinga are spearheading the formation of the National Super Alliance (NASA) which is expected to be a grand alliance comprising various Opposition leaders.
