The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) has invited all its members for an urgent meeting to deliberate on the way forward after Jubilee senators used their numerical might to pass the controversial election laws.

Addressing a press conference on Friday at Capitol Hill, Nairobi, CORD co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka stated that the meeting would be held next week on Wednesday, where they will consider all available options before announcing their next course of action.

“We will not allow a situation where stealing of elections becomes the order of the day.”

“We will implore all possible options and inform the country what is our next move. We will take several other legal measures to restore sanity in the country,” the Wiper party leader stated.

Kalonzo urged President Uhuru Kenyatta not to assent to the Bill, which had earlier made CORD to threaten they would hold mass demonstrations on January 4th.

At the same time, CORD co-principal Moses Wetangula announced that they will take action against Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro claiming he helped Jubilee to rig votes to ensure the Bill was passed.
