Former Harambee Stars footballer Mahmoud Mohamed, who played as a goalkeeper, has passed on.

 

Mohamed who played for the national side between 1968 and 1974 died on Monday night at his home in Sega, Mombasa county.

 

In 2005, Mr Mohamed suffered a heart attack and later in 2014, a stroke which paralysed his left side.

 

The 68-year-old died a few days after returning from India where he was receiving advanced treatment.

 

He will be buried later in the afternoon at the Allidina cemetery in Mombasa.
