The government has ordered for immediate action to be taken against Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko for utterances he made on Friday during a burial ceremony in Machakos.
Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko on Saturday directed Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to commence immediate investigations into Sonko’s utterances declaring himself the acting President of the Republic of Kenya.
Tobiko directed the authorities to:
1. Conduct urgent investigations into the said conduct and utterances.
2. Have Senator Sonko interrogated in respect of the said conduct and utterances.
3. Urgently submit the investigation file to him for appropriate action.
