Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Friday made an announcement that is set to spark anxiety in the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee camp.
Gideon, who is the KANU chairman, announced that the decision on whether his party will join the National Super Alliance (NASA) would be decided by KANU delegates soon.
The former President’s son was addressing a public forum where he received Senator Paul Njoroge who recently defected from the Jubilee Party.
His sentiments come barely a week after details emerged that Kenyatta had called Gideon and pleaded with him not to join NASA, which is being championed by the Opposition led by Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi.
In the said call, Kenyatta assured the younger Moi that his interests were well taken care of by the ruling coalition and urged him to stick to the agreement signed by KANU and Jubilee after the 2013 Elections.
