On Friday, Sonko caused a spectacle at the burial of former Kathiani Member of Parliament (MP) Wavinya Ndeti’s husband after he declared himself President alleging that since Kenyatta and his deputy were not in the country he was third-in-command.
“The President is in Togo and his Deputy is in France. I am now the third in command and the acting President of the Republic of Kenya. All these police officers and vehicles you see are here because am now the acting President,” Sonko said on Friday.
The Head of State also lashed out at vocal anti-corruption crusader John Githongo for failing to appear at the State House Summit, despite his relentless campaign fighting against the Jubilee Government.
Last week, Githongo mentioned that the Jubilee Government was the most corrupt Government in history. Upon his striking criticism, he was invited to attend the accountability summit by PSCU Digital Director Dennis Itumbi.
