A Bishop in Bungoma County has condemned an incident where he claimed local residents used witchcraft to embarrass a sitting Kenyan President.
Maurice Wanjala, who heads the Bungoma Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of All Nations (P.E.F.A) ministry, stated that the Luhya community has been unable to produce a president due to the incident that he claimed took place in 1991.
According to Wanjala, President Daniel Arap Moi had planned a visit to Nzoia but was to pass by Bungoma.
He narrated that at the time, local residents were angry with the then KANU government and decided to put witchcraft paraphernalia on the road Moi’s motorcade was meant to use.
